The chicken is so delicious you can't help but chew on the bones like a dog to not miss any of the meat and sauce. The fries were perfect and even the cole slaw was first rate. Bring a good bottle of wine and you will enjoy a great dinner at an unbeatable price.

Best chicken hands down although order legs or half chicken with rice and salad. The chicken breast is very dry so I wouldn't order that but rest assured you will never have this good chicken anywhere. The hot sauce is sooooo yummy, ended up buying a jar of it 😃

We were really obnoxious but they didn't kick us out. Foods pretty good.

Honestly the best freaking chicken I've had in my entire life. Forget the tasteless restaurant chicken; this one has so much flavor it's like it was raised to taste like this. Don't be fooled by the place's casual cafeteria looks. You've got one of the finest, tastiest dinner right there.

Excellent food! The chicken is great, especially the spicy sauce, and the chicken salad (w a honey/mustard sauce is a must try as well! Best fries we’ve had in Quebec City as well, we had to come back for a 2nd meal and we bought a jar of the spicy homemade sauce to bring home with us too. Highly recommend!

The chicken is very tasty. If you can eat spicy, try the spicy chicken, so good. If you do order a whole chicken, it will feed 4 person, because beside a whole chicken. You get a whole container of fries and a good size container of cole slaw. If you are in the area, I highly recommend on eating here or get it to go like what I did.

I started to eat there once a week. The chicken is tasty, not so expensive.

Beats St-Hubert and Benny's every single time. Never actually ate there, always to go. I think the tray is a weird way to go... I wish the "spicy" sauce was spicier, but nonetheless it is super flavorful. The fries are amazing, the slaw has a nice little something to it and the chicken is always perfect, super constant. This is my go to place when I don't want to go out, but don't want to cook. I haven't tried anything else yet, but heard the octopus was delicious. Orders placed are ready in 10 minutes or less from what I experienced. You have a view of the kitchen, which is very neat. I would definitely recommend. I just wish there were some chouriço on the menu!

Portuguese Chicken right off the grill in the middle of Quebec City. Moving from Montreal, I was afraid of never being able to enjoy Portuguese Chicken until I found this place! It is as good as Rue Rachel! Love it.

I believe the only reason this place is not completely packed every day at lunch is location. Great food, lots of space and Quebec City doesn't have many options for Potuguese chicken. Locals and tourists alike, add this to your itinerary . Good price for the quality, and very nice people .

Nice I like the fried chicken

The food was quite good and the plates had good variety. I did not like that a plate cost an extra $3 just to share without any extra food but what's done is done. I'm docking 1 star for that.

My husband has Celiac so traveling is always a challenge but finding this little gem in Quebec City would have been great Celiac or not. Their food was absolutely delicious and the service was friendly.

Affordable and tasty food. If you are on low carb diet you can have a salad instead of fries or rice. Very nice place if you look for a keto friendly meals.

Great value for yummy Portuguese chicken! You can get a great portion of food for very little price. Spicy sauce is great for the chicken. Their coleslaw was also tasty. Loved it!

Nothing plush to look at at this self service restaurant but if you like chicken, give it a try. Centrally located on Rue Saint- Jean. Friendly, helpful staff. Beautifully seasoned and cooked chicken at a reasonable price. Bring your own wine or pop across the rue to an off license. We bought an APA and a cider. Really enjoyable meal.

Best paella I ever ate since a long time. I read someone else review comparing this location with Nandos!! It is wrong and outrageous! This location is a Portuguese restaurant when Nandos is....provides Portuguese dessert! I will come back to Le Poulet Portugais each time I'd visit Quebec city.

We had wole chicken take out chicken ok chips not so ,no sauce &a bit expensive for what we got...

Simple self service restaurant. Chicken came out quickly and was excellent. Good price. Place was clean, booths were comfortable. It's BYO which is great, makes eating out much cheaper to bring your own wine/beer.
